What personal data Island Wheels collects when you book a car, why we need it, who we share it with, and the rights you have.

Who is responsible for your data
The Media Boost LLC, doing business as Island Wheels, is responsible for your personal data. The Media Boost LLC is a limited liability company registered in Wyoming, USA, under filing ID 2020-000897831, with its registered address at 1603 Capitol Ave Ste 310, Cheyenne, Wyoming 82001, USA.

What we collect
Browsing the site doesn't require any personal details, and booking works without an account.

Why we use it
- To make and manage your booking: passing your details to the rental company, sending your confirmation, and handling changes or cancellations.
- To take your payment through Stripe, our payment provider.
- To check drivers meet the rental company's requirements: your licence details and photos are shared with the rental company for this.
- To help you: answering your questions and complaints.
- To meet legal obligations, such as keeping financial records.
- To improve our website and ads, using analytics and advertising cookies, only if you agree.
We do not sell your personal data.
Who we share it with
- The rental company you book with, to prepare the car, check your licence and hand the car over. It handles your data under its own privacy terms.
- HQ Rental Software, the booking system many of our rental partners use. Your booking reaches them through it.
- Stripe, to process online payments.
- Google (Analytics, Tag Manager), Meta (Facebook, Instagram) and TikTok, to measure visits and show relevant ads, only if you accept those cookies.
- Our hosting and email providers, to run the website and send you messages.
- Authorities, only when the law requires it.
Some of these providers are based outside Curaçao, for example in the United States or the European Union. When we transfer data, we use providers that offer appropriate safeguards for it.
How long we keep it
We keep booking records for 12 months after your rental ends, so we can handle questions, disputes and our accounting. Licence photos are deleted 30 days after your rental ends. Financial records are kept as long as the law requires.
How we protect it
Our website uses an encrypted (SSL) connection. Only people who need booking data to handle your booking can access it. Payments run through Stripe's secure systems.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- show you the personal data we hold about you
- correct data that is wrong
- delete your data, unless we must keep it by law or for an open booking or dispute
- stop or limit certain uses of your data
- give you your data in a commonly used format
You can also change your cookie choices at any time through the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.
To use any of these rights, email admin@rentislandwheels.com. We may ask you to confirm your identity. We reply within one month.
If you are not happy with how we handle your data, you can contact the data protection authority in Curaçao, or the one in the EU country where you live, such as the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens in the Netherlands.
Children
Island Wheels is for adults. If we learn that someone under 18 has given us their details, we delete them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version. If the changes are significant, we show a notice on the website.

Ask us to see, correct or delete your data at admin@rentislandwheels.com. We reply within one month.
